You know, given that’s from the pre-digital era, that could be the only copy of that information… anywhere.
And it was just discarded along with everything else. Crazy, although it’s not like there’s be any reason for the weekly steam readings in 1973 to be stored long-term, but still…

So far as I know these logs are still sitting on the office counter where these pictures were taken, along with diagrams and specs for the boilers themselves. I’ve got a hankerin’ to go back there and may document more if things are still there.

This is really good. Reminds me of a recent time I was able to hold handwritten records from the 1800’s. You kind of wonder what things and conversations such documents were witness to.
